We're committed to making a difference in our little community and the environment. We're proud to announce that we've added an Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger to the ranch. It's a Level 2, J1772, and it's ready to use so just roll up and charge.
As the weather begins to cool, we've compiled a list of things to do in the area!
Of course, on the ranch, you can always fish, hike on our trails, watch animals, gaze at stars and RELAX!
Have you ever wondered what happens to your used soap bars & plastic shampoo bottles after a hotel visit? Think about it. There are 4 billion hotel rooms worldwide. If half of those rooms were booked last night, that means there could be 2 billion used soap bars and shampoo bottles headed to a landfill today. Yikes!
Good afternoon friends and followers. Recently we have received a couple of complaints. We take all complaints seriously and try to improve where we can. The Politics of climate change or global warming aside, I hope we can all agree that we should do what we can to limit our impact on the environment. Over the next few months you will notice a few changes at the Hideaway that we hope will help in our own small way.
As you may have gathered, from the name of our fictional town, (Buffalo Gulch), to our animals and our chuckwagon supper menu…WE LOVE BUFFALO (Bison). Our son even goes to West Texas A&M…home of the Buffaloes! We love everything about buffalo, and we could watch them for hours.
Hello everyone! Welcome back to the Hideaway Ranch and Refuge blog. The first week of December has already brought a lot of exciting news and changes. Our tepees have arrived and we set them up to try them out. They are going to be a fantastic addition to our accommodations. We will have our first tepee ready for guests sometime in January. The first tepee will be a little more "rustic". It will contain cots, bedrolls, and a fire pit, but that is about it. It's going to be perfect for you adventurous folks who want to r...
