Directions to the Hideaway Ranch

If you use a GPS system, The BEST way is to enter the place name "the Hideaway Ranch".  We are pinned in Google maps and most other GPS systems.

From Fort Worth:
Take US 377 South to Granbury. Stay on the US 377 bypass (do NOT take the 377 Business exit). Immediately after crossing Lake Granbury, exit to your right at the "Highway 144 Granbury, Glen Rose" sign. Turn right at the end of the exit ramp onto 144 North. Go to the first stoplight and turn left onto Hwy 51/56. Follow Hwy 51/56 toward Paluxy. About 10 miles out of Granbury, 51 and 56 splits. Follow 51 to the right, toward Paluxy. At Paluxy (just a wide spot in the road, nothing much there but a church), note your odometer reading. Stay on 51 another 4.8 miles past Paluxy. You will approach a sharp (90 degree) left curve on 51. To your right, almost straight ahead, Somervell County Road 1014 joins 51. Turn right onto 1014 and drive another 2.3 miles. Now follow the directions below "From County Road 1014"

From Dallas:
Follow US 67 through Cleburne to Glen Rose. Stay on US 67 S. through Glen Rose to FM 205. Turn right on FM 205. Stay on 205 past the cutoff to Dinosaur Valley State Park. About 10 miles out of Glen Rose, FM 205 dead-ends into Hwy 51. Turn left on 51 and go to County Road 1014 (it will be the first paved road on your right). Turn right onto 1014 and drive another 2.3 miles. Now follow the directions below "From County
Road 1014"

From County Road 1014:
County Road 1014 pavement ends at about the 2-mile mark. You'll drive the last half mile or so on a dirt road. Look for the rearing horse and donkey statues at our entrance. Also, note the road sign showing "PR 1250". Turn right at the signs, through the rustic wooden entrance and drive down the long hill to the town of Buffalo Gulch (our old west town).  Park at the Office and come on in.

From Stephenville:
Follow US 67 N towards Glen Rose approx 18 miles. Turn Left onto County Road 196. Proceed 4.4 miles The Hideaway Ranch will be on the Left. Turn left on private road 1250, through the rustic wooden entrance, and drive down the long hill to the town of "Buffalo Gulch" (our old west town).  Park at the Office and come on in.

From Hico:
take TX 220 N towards Glen Rose approx 14 miles. Turn Right onto Hwy 67 and proceed .4 miles to County Road 196. Turn Left onto Cty Rd 196 and proceed 4.4 miles to The Hideaway Ranch. Entrance will be on the Left. Look for the horse and donkey statue at our gate. Proceed down the hill to our office.

From Bluff Dale:
You should not be in Bluff Dale if you followed any of the above directions, but if you end up there...take 2481 South 6.5 miles to Hwy 205. Turn Left on highway 205 and travel 7.3 miles to FM 51. Turn Right on FM51 and proceed 4 miles to County Road 1014. Bear right onto 1014 and go 2.3 miles. The ranch will be on the right. Look for the horse and donkey statues at our entryway. Proceed through the gate and down the hill to our office.

BE SURE TO PAUSE AT OUR GATE AND ENJOY THE VIEW. Remember to drive slowly on our property...we have an open range. Livestock could be found on the road at any time. Also, families with children may be on the property. Excessive speeds will not be tolerated. Safety of our family and animals is paramount.
