Local Attractions
On
the property, we offer hiking trails, fishing ponds,
horseback riding
and views of good ole Texas Longhorns and Paint
horses. Nearby you'll find lakes, rivers, state
parks, antique shopping
galore,
and even a vineyard. You
can float on a river, putt for
par; take in a drive-in
movie, or stare a giraffe in the face.
That's right, a giraffe. Nationally-known
Fossil Rim Wildlife Center is nearly next
door. Historic Granbury and Glen Rose,
charming Hico, the
Bluff
Dale Winery, and the famous
Dublin Dr.
Pepper Museum are all just a short drive away.
Let's not forget the Cowboy Capital of
Texas....Stephenville, is only a 25 minute drive.

Most
people prefer just to stay at The Hideaway,
though, and enjoy the countryside. Fish in the
ponds, swim and sun at the pool, hike in the
woods, go for a horseback ride, stargaze from your hot tub spa, or just
relax on the porch swing with a good book.
